Conflicting emotions

Conflicting emotions are emotions that conflict with each other, such as being happy and sad at the same time or being mad and sad at the same time. Here is an example of when I experienced being mad and sad at the same time. It was about 5 years ago, I was at my friends house having a sleepover. She wanted to go outside but I did not want to because it was cold and her parents were asleep. When I told her I didn´t want to because it was to cold and it was dark she got mad at me and she locked me out of her room. I got mad at her for locking me out of her room because it was dark in the hallway, and I was scared. She still wouldn´t let me in her room and her parents were asleep so I couldn´t do anything about it. After a little bit I was sad because I wanted to go home but I didn´t want to wake her parents up, and I didn´t have a phone at the time. Eventually she let me back in her room but I still wanted to leave because she was being rude to me even after she let me back in her room. I fell asleep and when I woke up I went home, but that was my experience of having mixed emotions.
